Chuck's Recipes
SCONES
 
2 cups self-raising flour
2 teaspoons sugar
15g butter 
I cup milk (approx.) 

Grease round cake tin. 

Sift flour and sugar into bowl, rub in butter, stir in enough milk to mix to 
a soft sticky dough. 

Turn dough onto floured surface. Kneed lightly until smooth.

Press dough out to about 2 and a half cm thickness. Cut into prepared pan. 

Brush with a little extra milk. Bake in very hot oven for approx. 15 minutes 

Variations 

Currant and Apricot 
Add 2 tablespoons currants and a quarter cup of finely chopped dried apricots to dry ingredients. 

Herb 
Add one and a half tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, and 1 % tablespoons chopped fresh chives, 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill and I tablespoon chopped fresh basil to dry 

Ham and Cheese 
Add a third a cup of grated parmesan cheese. A half a cup of grated tasty cheese and 4 slices of finely chopped ham to dry ingredients.
